Guerrilla Rhymes IV

God Left This Place Today

God left this place today
He left without a word
He had nothing left to say
It all seemed so absurd

He left without a word
He never looked back
It all seemed so absurd
His mind had left its track

He never looked back
His arms swayed along with his feet
His mind had left its track
He knew he had been beat

His arms swayed with his feet
His mind was now at ease
He knew he had been beat
He could now rest, pleased

His mind was now at ease
He had nothing left to say
He could now rest, pleased
God left this place today

Dreams Pt. 1

I've slept facing whichever way is West
I don't know the problems of a broken crest
Like a predator posing as a priest
A complicated timeframe I hate the least
Bowling for matches, a gutterball wins
Ash and dust fly when you knock down the pins
I'm at the losing end of every action
Who carries a matchbook of fractions
Defined by a will and moved by a wave
It's never our own lives we have to save
Hearing music coming from the mist
I awake to see I'm still facing west
