Rant

Imagine a world with intelligent children and ruined roads.
That is not and never will be California.
Why do we put money into fucked up roads and nothing into education?
It's like moving backwards.

I'm on this rant cause today I read an article in the Bohemian that stated that our generation is money-wasting, future complete debt, and has no sense in money saving whatsoever. They actually referred us to the "iPod" Generation.

What I have to say about this is yes. Your completely right, we, as a nation and a community, are as stupid with money as you can get. But who is to blame? Why are we blaming a 'generation'?

If that's how they wanna play it off then the 'generation' we should be blaming is the one with the most power. Right? Why are parents/adults putting their money into stocks for Macintosh and not into their childrens education? There would be no iPods or iMacs or anything if there was no one to back them up with money. Sure you could use the excuse that it's for the economy but you know that's bullshit. We're not only wasting money, we're burning it. I can't say anything to the people that decide that they should put everything onto our generation's shoulders and give up because they fucked things in the first place.

It's YOUR generation that needs to get their shit together, ours has hardly reached a point of social and economic stability let alone the ability to control funds that we get from our parents or our shitty paying jobs.

So don't give into the crap spewed from adults that WE are the ones who are in debt or have knowledge of handling money. We are here to learn; from mistakes and from the people who have already made those mistakes. Stop putting your money into stupid useless technology and put it into education. The only ones to blame for any of that is adults with the power and the 'knowledge' who don't do anything but lay blame and then go off and put their money into fixing roads.


PS: When I see a sidewalk that's all screwed up from a tree right next to it, I don't see a problem, I see a ramp... to jet off of on a bike or a skateboard.

Loooooong Week

lazy long week I just had
Wisdom teeth are finally gone for good, but the holes they left are much more painful
I got a lot done today but I had to make up for the week I had of hardly moving from my bed, let alone my room. so boring. I watched Dazed and Confused an unbelievable amount of times. I just didn't feel like changing the disk.
but as I write this I'm registering for a full school load for the Fall. I'll post my schedule later.
Other than that, it's been a long week without my laptop and I'm just glad to have things back to normal. and fuck painkillers, i was such a worthless nothing with those.

Stressful Party

It was fun and all, but man, I was stressin' the whole time.
My sister is the reason for most of it, but it was still just crazy.
Crazy fun.
Party hopping back and forth from my house to Kelly's.

I played live for the first time two finished Loners Club songs I wrote. So that was rad at least.
Tonight will be better for sure.

Lamb Chops

I did a bad thing.
I ate a tastey lamb. I'm usually against lamb and veal of the sorts but tonight I took the chance and it was delicious. I made a lemon zest, anchovy, garlic, thyme, and lemon juice sauce to put over them and it was fantastic. I just love to cook. Doesn't matter if what I'm cooking goes against my priciples, I'm gonna eat what I cook anyway.

Home Alone

Bah.
I love being home alone so much I can't wait to move out.
Not to escape this or that, just to be independent. It's just a good feeling.
Silence (whether I want it or not) seems to be the best part. Doors no longer make noise, my music fits my mood whenever, I can cook whenever, etc.
I really think I'm a hermit trapped in a very social persons body.
