Pounding with Techno

Partied hard last night, almost too hard, but I survived.
Just got back from seeing Juno.
One word, Genius.

PS: Fritz the Cat on DVD. You rock Spike.

Only 5 more sleeps till

KREEESMASSS
oh yesh.

anyway, feeling much better

I watched Die Hard an insane amount of times. I have a sickness I guess.

I really would like to watch Scrooged and Muppet Christmas Carol but none of the local movie stores have them... I'm too late.
I also don't have the Elvis Christmas album nor the Beach Boys Christmas album
no fun.

Should be a good Christmas. I should be back at work by Saturday anyway.

yay?

PS: Sweeney Todd at Midnight (hopefully)

Sick as a dog.

I haven't been this sick in a while.
I hardly ever get sick. So whenever I'm this sick I get nervous.
My medical history isn't long, but what's on it isn't good.
-blood poisoning
-pneumonia twice
-broken wrist (lol)

I blame The Shop. Fuck that venue.

I scrounged up a funny comic my friend Kalena made.

I'm sure you have to click on it to make it bigger.
(that's what she said.)

The "nazi" Shop Show

So basically, "The Loners Club" needs work.
Definitely never plugging in again, I just couldn't hear anything but my guitar.
We'll figure it out. I guess it could have been worse. We could've sounded like "Pet Sounds"....

I looked fucking good though.
Spike is going to get laid very very soon.
I also never knew there was a way to make drums experimental and artistic.
And the Shop must draw the attention of Nazis cause the swastikas were a little much.
Kassi is so cute and shy, especially for someone who has been on stage and played more than I have.

PS: Secret Santa this year will be fun.
PSS: I FUCKING HATE MY PARENTS TO THE CORE OF MY BEING.

When We Go

I made this for the band "A Pack Of Wolves".
I am now holding the actual cd case with this exact picture on it and I'm still stunned.
The cd is being sold all over the internet and my art is being shared along with it.
Don't get me wrong, the band is the real reason you should buy the cd, they are amazing.
They're the most original sound I've heard in a long time.
It's so very cool.

Tomorrow I play at the Shop with Kas. We'll do pretty well I think. The fact is I don't really care either way. All we're doing now is playing covers until we get a sound and write some more stuff.

I'm just happy I've been keeping busy these past few days. I feel like the sword of Damocles is just above me and is ready to drop and kill my social life at any moment.

Gotta Loves It

Had a very good day yesterday.

Went to the JC and got all the information I could ever want.
Got my classes scheduled.
Monday+Wednesday:
ART 2.1
10:30am-12:00pm
Italian 1
5:00pm-7:00pm

Did a fun photoshoot with Kat.
She's really talented.

Determination

I'm pretty determined right now. Looking over all this JC stuff. I think I may have started a little late it feels like. No matter. I'll figure it out. I'll set up a meeting with a counceler and get those units and get ready for Italy. I'm saving enough money as it is.

I just wanna fast forward. I'm in slow motion right now.

There are so many big things happening; nothing's going to get in my way. It's as simple as that.
Go on... try me.

Not So Silent Night

Here's a picture of me and Tom Peloso from Modest Mouse.
I also got an autograph and met Eric Harvey from Spoon.
No one knew who Spoon was so when they went on it was dead silent...
except for me.
I sang along with every song and yelled "Have another beer!" every chance I got.
They were obviously intoxicated, which made them that much cooler.
(Also, the keyboardist told me Britt Daniel, the singer, went to see Darjeeling Limited after the show. SO FUCKING COOL)

Other fond memories include the incredibly drunk bitch yelling "IT'S MY BIRTHDAY" over and over, making some friends in the pit, yelling "Blink 182" at Tom Delonge, and hugging the security guard.

Thanks Live 105.

Static Age

Spring semester is almost here.
I think I'd like to go back to school just for the fact that I can go back to doodling during a lecture or something. I've made some awesome stuff that way. I miss senior year just because I got to doodle non-stop. It was a joke.
But now I sit looking at my sketchbook and seeing nothing but attempts to make something "artsy". But I don't wanna do that, I wanna sketch out a mess of shit like this again:

I did that during detention (out of the three I had my entire high school career).
So hopefully Japan will start the art in me again and then Italy will just be the icing on the cake.

And it looks like it's all working out pretty well.

12/06/2007

inspiration find me.

I've got too many ideas to put down on one piece of paper or write in one blog. They come and go so quickly nowadays. I wanna write three screenplays; one about the kid faking a fatal disease, one about two guys who go off to find adventure, and one like the stereotypical teenage high school party night. And then I have ideas for short animations; one with a spin on the elves and the shoemaker, and one about an elderly woman in a nursing home.

Not to mention I still haven't written my Aliens graphic novel or even drawn in a while.

I just need to sit in a coffee shop and write. Just write any ideas in full.

We'll see.

PS: Tokyo, Japan = $2000
Florence, Italy = $9000
Having studied and traveled to two ends of the earth before I'm even 21 = priceless

Eager Faces

Me and Jaime

I recently saw a video of a kid opening a Nintendo 64 and literally flipping out. He was going nuts in the most zany, cartoony way. I then saw a remix in which they made a techno song out of his yelps and cries of joy. I then realized... who didn't flip out this way when they got what they so eagerly desired. Everyone had that moment somewhere in their childhood in which they anticipated something and got exactly what they wanted.

I wish life was always like that

But I'm sure the only way that can happen is if the things we desire are a simple as a plastic entertainment box.

Annadel Mist

This misty morning I jumped out of bed and hit the trail by my house.
It was fantastic. It was an eerily warm mist.
I followed some rabbits off the trail to one of their holes, but unlike Alice, I was too big to fit down.
After reaching Lake Ilsanjo I went off the trail yet again to find about a dozen deer. I followed them and as they grazed I realized I was surrounded. They got incredibly close to me. It was really peaceful.

KREESMAASS

So I guess it's that lame month again where American consumerism turns into a giant flaming ball of disease and destroys this land. Whenever asked I always say I don't want anything. Which is true, I don't want anything. I don't want some stupid little trinket that will go in some corner and cramp up my room more. I obviously won't be taking it with me when I go. So just don't get me anything. I'm definitely one of those annoying people who pride over the fact they aren't materialistic. Get over it.

Anyway, here are the places I'm going:
1. Tokyo

2. Florence, Italy

3. Yosemite
