Last night was a defining moment for me. Not just for me, but for my generation. That night will be remembered forever. This is the night our generation stood up and showed the rest of America as well as the world that we aren't those stereotypical, lazy, "iPod" generation. We can make a difference. And we did.

Fer Serious...
So tonight I'm going to just sit back and relax because tomorrow is really gonna test me.
I have Creative Writing from 9:00am to 12:00pm in which I'm going to be presenting and workshopping multiple poems and scripts. I offered to be the center of the workshop not knowing what kind of day I had ahead of me. So immediately after that I'll be heading to Ben's to walk a great distance to an auto-dismantling depot for his art project. Here's his artist statement:
Artist statement as of 10/18:
This is an investigation of texture and fabrication with automotive vehicle parts. Keeping in mind the ecological and green means of acquiring such parts, a performance aspect is added to this piece to further contest the Americanized consumption of petroleum and the pollution caused. The limits of our endurance will be tested, as the walk to the closest car dismantling agency is 10 miles. These parts will be wrapped in potato sack burlap, and taken back to San Francisco via the 80 Golden Gate Transit bus.
The performance will be videotaped and edited until fit; and the car parts will be part of an installation/sculpture also revolving around the use of:
-non conventional means of creation and building (i.e., no contemporary tools of any sort)
-abstract form without false representation
-a hands on study of working, affixing, mixing, filtering, and burning of common automotive fluids (gasoline, battery acid, grease, windshield wiper fluid, etc) onto the fragmented car parts.
So yea... wish me luck or something similiar, it's gonna be nuts.
PS: Other than that, I'm going to spliff it up and listen to "Dopesmoker", the epic 1 hour and 3 minute song by Sleep. G'night!

- NOTE: Public gasoline may in fact be stolen from neighboring SUV's, but this is not a must, as we don't want to go to jail.
So yea... wish me luck or something similiar, it's gonna be nuts.

Guerrilla Rhymes IV

God Left This Place Today
God left this place today
He left without a word
He had nothing left to say
It all seemed so absurd
He left without a word
He never looked back
It all seemed so absurd
His mind had left its track
He never looked back
His arms swayed along with his feet
His mind had left its track
He knew he had been beat
His arms swayed with his feet
His mind was now at ease
He knew he had been beat
He could now rest, pleased
His mind was now at ease
He had nothing left to say
He could now rest, pleased
God left this place today
Dreams Pt. 1
I've slept facing whichever way is West
I don't know the problems of a broken crest
Like a predator posing as a priest
A complicated timeframe I hate the least
Bowling for matches, a gutterball wins
Ash and dust fly when you knock down the pins
I'm at the losing end of every action
Who carries a matchbook of fractions
Defined by a will and moved by a wave
It's never our own lives we have to save
Hearing music coming from the mist
I awake to see I'm still facing west

CHAMPS!

quite possibly the best birthday gift I've ever recieved (even if it is a little late, but who really cares)
It's a poster of 100 (hand-drawn) covers of the best albums ever.
I have the best friend in the world and it kills me I can't see her everyday.
I love you Kalena.
PLEASE move to Portland with me.

Guerrilla Rhymes III

The Moon
I crossed my eyes
when it crossed my mind
that’d you’d be leaving soon
I took a chance
when I made that glance
into the face of the moon
I made a leap
off of hills so steep
to catch the purple moon
When the clockwork stops
and the temperature drops
this path will meet you soon
You gratefully lied
as I humbly died
in a coffin on the moon
Because there’s a certain sting
when I hear you sing
“I’m going to meet you soon”
