While I am a huge fan of the original, live action with Shelley Duvall and Daniel Stern, and I do wish they were coming back for the remake, I'm super excited for the new one. I mean, c'mon, it's stop-motion (finally!) and in black and white, of course I'm down.

This is turning out to be a great year for animation.

And something funny I'll point out, the original poster for Frankenweenie says "from the director of Batman and Beetlejuice" and the new poster says "from the director of Alice in Wonderland". You'd think Tim Burton would be a household name by now.

RIP Robert Sherman

One half of the Sherman Brothers, or "The Boys" as Walt Disney called them, passed away. Two of the greatest composers of songs that either made you happy or got stuck in your head forever. If you get a chance, watch the documentary "The Boys", it's worth it.
